HOTEL BEATRICE
Our history
In the early 1950s, Adriano Chinaglia decided to open a hotel in Florence.
Though originally from Cordenons in Friuli Venezia Giulia, he had always loved thecity that was hometo the Medici and the Renaissance, so he chose Florence as the perfect place to start a hospitality business, where he could welcome travelers from all over the world to enjoy one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. His dream was to create a comfortable, cozy, and clean hotel where visitors could feel at home.
Adriano Chinaglia knew that the ideal place to open his hotel would have to be near the Santa Maria Novella station: in addition to being the main point of arrival in Florence, it was also very close to the city’s main monuments. So he chose an elegant building from the early 20th century at Via Fiume 11, easy to reach from the station and a lovely 5-minute stroll from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and the Baptistery.
In 1953 his dream finally became a reality with the inauguration of Hotel Beatrice. It was an immediate success: guests appreciated the location, the elegance of the Liberty-style rooms, and the friendliness of the owner who was always ready to offer help or advice about visiting Florence. Many guests became particularly fond of Signor Adriano and returned to the Hotel Beatrice every time they passed through the city.
Since then, the hotel has always been managed by the Chinaglia family, an honor that has now been passed down to Signora Letizia. With a passion inherited from her father Adriano, she carries on the family tradition with her husband Costantino. Hotel Beatrice thus continues to welcome guests with the same cordiality offered since 1953, providing a family atmosphere where visitorsfeel at home in a clean, elegant space with all the modern comforts required for a pleasant stay in the historic center of Florence.
