Hotel Florence City Center
HOTEL BEATRICE
In the heart of Florence with a convenient and strategic location
In the 1950s, Adriano Chinaglia wanted an ideal location for guests at the hotel he was about to open in central Florence. He needed a place that would allow visitors to reach the wonders of the historic city center of Florence with a short and pleasant walk.
This meant the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with its unmistakable dome, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the Uffizi, all had to be within comfortable reach. Not only that: the train station had to be nearby as well so that travelers could easily drop off their luggage and immediately start enjoying the city.
There could be no better location
After a thorough search, Signor Adriano found the perfect address for what he wastrying to achieve: Via Fiume. Three minutes from the stationand 10 minutes from the Duomo. In the historic center, yet tucked away from the noisy city bustle. This street was ideal for his project.
Today, Via Fiume continues to be a quiet street with close access to Florence’s most famous sites, museums, and monuments. Since the 1970s, with the opening of the Palazzo dei Congressi at Villa Strozzi, ithas also become a popular choice thanks toits proximity to this important venue for conferences and fairs in Florence. It is here, at Via Fiume 11,that the Chinaglia family has welcomed guests to the Hotel Beatrice since 1953.
